Introducing the latest addition to 42 Farms:

Moo!
There’s been talk of goats and then yesterday, I saw this little guy. He’s a Nubian-Pygmy cross and about 8 weeks old.
Yes, it was my idea. No we were not prepared. Luckily, we have a quarantine area/ sick bay that he shouldn’t be able to destroy until we get the goat fence up. We have three weeks until some little girls are old enough to join him. Maybe.
Yes, I was up several times last night, checking to make sure he was o.k.
First Monday is dangerous. Just sayin’.

Turns out, I wasn’t so good at sexing bunnies until someone showed me. George (far right) and Houdini (far left) were girls. We thought Houdini was a boy. Yesterday we added Jake. This morning, after listening to him do his job all night, we were considering Peter or Jeffery. O.o
Today, he moves to his own cage.
The people did say that he was a very productive male. I think we should have taken that as a warning. Texas has also moved finishing the rabbit house WAY up on his list.
If we hadn’t needed a New Zealand male, I probably would have come home with two blue Angoras.
Dangerous I tell you!
And so, there was no knitting yesterday. Friday didn’t involve fiber either, but I’ll do a post about that sometime in the next week or nine. Or whenever I feel like being mean to someone.
Happy Sunday y’all!
How is your weekend going?
*Yeah, I know there were no actual cows used in the making of this post.
If those aren’t angora rabbits, are they for getting et?
Can you tranquilize Jake at night?
Oy.
Wow. Cute and cuter. Texas probably needs to keep making more fences, I would wager.
Awwwww, they’re all so cute! I see many more up in the night nights for you. xo
Males are worthless. What are you doin’, City Girl?
Oh, and that sounds like a Jake to me…
