No chip, I called the humane society and some local hunting shops since she appears to be a hunting dog.  No one has reported her missing.

Sad that people do that to dogs.

Cryptic Thankful Thursday

  • I am thankful there is only one more week of Thankful Thursdays, because only so much nice can come out of my brain before it explodes.
  • I am thankful for wonderful neighbors, friends, boys and all that… who are plotting against each other in the Christmas decoration / payback smackdown.  I haz giggles.

  • I am thankful for old puppies who like to lay in the sun.
  • I am thankful for something that I can’t post here but y’all from the secret place know what I’m talking about.  (wow, that sounded kinda dirty)
  • I am thankful that the BBQ sauce came out of the carpet from the Great BBQ Incident ‘09.
  • I am thankful for friends back in PA who can help me accomplish something that needs to be done.
  • I am thankful that it is almost the end of the three week streak and that I’ll have more than a week of Texas even if it might be spent doing icky things.

I can haz more birthday!  WOOT!

This box was a little giggle-y and a little weepy. (good weepy, not bad weepy)  The “g” and the altoid tins hold hollyhock seeds.  Some of Angie’s and some of mine.  Yes, I was a dumb ass and didn’t bring any of mine with me.  It was such a wonderful and thoughtful thing.  Now, I’m trying to decide the perfect spot to put them so I can look at them often as they grow.

She included a grenade pin.  A grenade pin, people!  *muwahahhaha*  Now all I need is an AR-15 and I’m ready for anything.  And the Badger lip balm?  Made me think of my last birthday. (remember the Badger knife ?)  Good times.  Good times indeed.   I guess those Wisconsinites love their badgers.  :D

There’s the acorn in all it’s glory.  I love the buttons on it.  I should have gotten a better picture of them to share.  They’re little polished stones and so beautiful.  They wouldmake lovely earrings.

UM, yeah… it was my birthday

This year, for some reason, (hello?!? Texas not home.  I haz sad) I decided to play it low key.

Well except for the two outrageous things I did for it this year.

Some people however wouldn’t let me forget I can haz happy too.  (and hopes for a future husband – hey Cookie, how long to knit that wedding shawl, I think you have about 16 years to work on it)

Thanks to everyone who stopped by anyway to wish me a happy one.

I have no knowledge of such nor do I recall any chocolate being a part of this package.  Swear!

But I do now have a little man who is ” a romantic who isn’t afraid of getting his hands dirty.  He brought you flowers and a bucket”

He’s now on my mantle until I get a bigger bedside table.  :D

The ladybug (my favorite! I love ladybugs) has also found a home.  I think she brought some friends along because magically, I had a bunch in the house yesterday – either that, or they were trying to get  out of the rain.

She’ll have to tell you the details of the sock.  More pictures of the sock below.  The divas had to have their own photo shoot you know.

Trolly Bastard here… reporting for duty!  Sandy, I’m sorry about Fig too.  I did find a picture of the moon that my stepmonster took last night.  Although her photography skills aren’t that great.  But don’t tell her I said that.  Mmmmkay?  I’ll toss her files for a better picture.

I hear even that inside princess Chewy is upset but she won’t have her picture taken when she doesn’t look 100% and she was up all night chasing a mouse in the house.

If I were allowed in there, MAN!  I’d have had that thing by now.  I don’t think she knows what she’s doing.  She just plays with them until they die of fright.  But me?  I bring presents ALL the time.  Yesterday?  I got a mole for the stepmonster and she picked me up and scratched my forehead juuuuust how I like it.

Look what I found!  A sky picture from the day before the stepmonster met my daddy.  The sky sure was pretty out there in California…

Well, except that Texas doesn’t have to work and I have a fridge full of leftovers so I don’t have to either. He said something about going to the Cracker Barrel in Lindale (since it’s the only thing open ’round here today), but I don’t know if I want to deal with people. Those poor people are going to be working anyway… don’t they deserve an easy table and a big tip?

Perhaps my years of waitressing are showing just a tad.

Plus I have this whole theory about asshats people and the holidays and why they are so fake only make nice for about a month and a half out of twelve.  But I digress.

The lovely Joan gave me this post for today. She posted the first poem she ever memorized and the first thing I remember memorizing is the Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi. He was a favorite Saint of my grandmother on my father’s side and she did love this prayer so.

Deep Thought of the Day: Life is sexually transmitted.

01. I got another thing crossed of my MP08. My cotton is gone! Mom has decided to quit smoking too and has gone on a crochet binge. Everyone (and I do mean everyone) will have bath mitts, washcloths and back scrubbers for every upcoming holiday in the next year.

02. No, we have not killed each other yet.

03. Isela is taking bets on how long it takes me to crack and change my theme.

04. I have pink nails.

05. I finally switched to Firefox.

06. Is it 11 a.m. yet? That’s when the online classes open. I really need it to be 11. Please.

07. I haven’t knit anything since Thursday.

08. I also haven’t spun anything in over a week.

09. Yes, I am avoiding reading the chapter for the philosophy class.

10. Don’t you just love Intervention? People more dysfunctional than I! WOO!

11. Only 4 more weeks people! It can only go down hill from here.
