Driving in the Harbor was seriously hindered yesterday and as I was returning from taking Texas to the airport this morning, I think I saw that the one neighbor had a recreation of Jonestown going on in their front yard.

The one house across the lake put on an awesome show (we’re talking about $20K in fireworks) and I plan on floating the boat out to watch the big shows tonight.

And just because I’m in a mood, the week in review.  Mostly.

01. I spent all day (well 7 hours) on the lake yesterday with Angie, Tiff and her daughter. Yes, a four year old. I did not kill the spawnling. She was well behaved.

02. I actually went in the lake.  They showed me this little cove with an island where we could just push the pontoon onto a sand bar. All I kept hearing in my head as we were pulling up was this:

03. Because of the medication I’m on, I ended up wearing a t-shirt and capri’s.  Not next time!  As long as I get the lotion on right anyway. *ahem*  Don’t ask about the 3 sunburned streaks.  It’s ummmm… interesting.  Almost zebra like.  O.o

04. We’re planning on doing this every weekend.  All I need are some floaties or a lawn chair.  Yes, they were sitting on the sandbars in lawn chairs.

05. Oh, and a cowboy hat.  I neeeeeed one.  And I need to be able to get it wet.

06. I’m going to make this table for either our deck or the seating area by the dock.  Just because it’s fun.

07. Cajun Bayou grand opening was Saturday.  FUN!  They had a Zydeco band and dancing and horseshoes.  While I don’t drink that often, it was that perfect combo of a hot summer evening (we got there at 630), good food, good friends, sitting on the tailgate of a truck, … and the ice cold beer tasted wonderful.

08.  I forgot what eight was for.

09. OMG!  Best thing ever for my little OCD binges.

10. I’m tired. Exhausted actually. I assume I need more coffee… or at least better coffee.  I’m thinking of making this recipe after I stop by Coffee City and pick up some good beans.   I usually get their breakfast blend, but they just added Bulls Eye Blend and Jumpstart Java.  Mmmmmm.

Cookie made me that out of Dave yarn that I used to help cushion the starter wheel bobbins.  Ask her about the other details.  She is a wonderful woman indeed.  It’s heavy and warm and wonderful.

Speaking of the wonderful Cookie and her mad knitting skillz, I wore the infamous honey bee for my divorce.  It matched my boots.

Don’t ask, you probably don’t want to know

The countdown to Texas’ return has begun.  He’s actually coming home on Friday this time, so this week is going to be a little crazy.  You know, the usual cleaning, getting the hair done, having an MRI, washing his car and wrapping up the surprise anniversary gift.

Yep, that’s a heron on the boat on the 4th.  Yes, it is that boring around here – today anyway.  Cut the dog’s hair, gave her a shower, vacuumed the house, changed sheets and washed the kitchen floor.

Yep, been spinning.  Every day so far.  That is if picking up the spindle and doing enough to stop and wrap and then putting it away counts.

And now for the manic part:

What is the longest love relationship (partner) you have had, and if it has ended, why? 5 years (if you don’t count the never-ending marriage.  Don’t ask.)  Why did it end?  Wow. Um.  We both got together for so many messed up reasons.  My part in the end was I started  focusing on building a career and J. just wanted to work and party.  I gave in to things I didn’t want to , J. did the same and we never really communicated.  My fault just as much as J’s.  We won’t even talk about the cheating.  It became a tit-fot-tat thing and blew up.  Looking back, I wonder if we ever knew each other at all.

What is on your bedside table? My CPAP,  a bottle of my sleeping pills, The Far Sweet Thing, my shots, and my .40.

How many pillows do you have on your bed? Do you make your bed every day? Three.  When I lived alone, I had five.  I should totally pull the ones from the spare bed.  Yes, I make it everyday.  Isn’t that what good girls do?  I like things neat.  What can I say.

Since y’all want me to post and I have no content, I went out on the lake Tuesday and snapped some pictures.  It’s been far too hot to do it since then.  Well, unless I went out at 6 a.m.  It’s 7 am and already 80 degrees (26.7 C ).
