No, really. Texas and I are riding in the Bike MS 150 in May of this year. Well, Texas is, I haven’t raised enough moolah yet. So this is where I need your help. Please donate.
Right here is where you can find my page. I need to raise $300 to ride. I need to raise this by April 7th so I can pick up our rider packets close to our house instead of an hour and a half away. (Yes, I want to avoid a 3 hour round trip. Call me crazy)
To try and bribe all y’all to donate, I’m going to give something away. For every $10 that is donated, you get an entry in a drawing. The winner will have a choice between a Fire Stick, an Amazon Dot, or a Stitched By JessaLu regular wedge or box bag (you pick, I’ll pay). If I get to $500, I’ll pick two winners.
Since a bunch of you came through for Texas too, I’ll also enter anyone who donated to him.
So here is the breakdown:
- Donate $10 = get an entry
- Share the link on FB, Twitter and IG with #MakeSquishRide = get an entry
- Share on your blog and let me know = get an entry
I know you all have come through in the past for helping raise money to find a cure, not only for MS, but for NMO. I am always grateful for your generosity.
Happy Tuesday y’all!
I was going to pose this Saturday, but life.
Our JessaLu has been blogging for 12 years now and if you go over there and comment, you have a chance to win one of her fabulous bags. Mention me and I get a bonus entry. 50 comments and she adds another prize to the pool.
I started this blog about 6 months before her, but there are a bunch of us from the “Class of 2005” that are still around. Some of us post a bunch, and some of us aren’t that consistent (because FB and Twitter and Ravelry or life).
I’d like to make a better effort to blog again because I would like a slower pace. Everything on FB and Twitter is instantaneous. I’ve shut off my phone notifications for both and have been making an effort to step away a little. I noticed I was reposting a ton of memes instead of quality posts. I really enjoy those “memories” that pop up every day and I’d like to see my life instead of something meaningless.
I’m totally not doing a “new year, new me” post. I’ve just noticed things in my life that I would like to change.
Like getting this weaving going. This will be the first project on Mama Cass. (Someone reminded me that I need to name my lovelies)
Happy Monday y’all!
Three days of keeping up with Rosie made me just want to sit on the couch and weave. Ok, 3 days of Rosie and two nights of not sleeping well.
There was no What’s for Dinner Wednesday because I picked up rotisserie chicken from Boston Market. Texas didn’t want to go to the gym after work, so I had to come up with dinner on the fly.
F.N. Pope (Fish Nugget) died last night, so I cleaned the tank and picked up Eric IV aka Quad Shot today. Fishy was a “rescue” fish, so he came with his name. With Quad Shot went back to naming all of our fighting fish Eric. The first two commited suicide and Trey (Eric III) was just belly up one day.
What are you doing today?
Since it is Wednesday, here is what is for dinner:
Garlic quinoa, roasted butternut squash and sweet potatoes, and pulled pork loin.
Just proof that pork loin can be pulled. I use about a cup of broth, cumin, adobo, garlic and put it in my Power Cooker XL (far less expensive than that pot everyone is talking about and works fabulous) for 40 minutes. Voila! Pulled pork loin.
What are you having for dinner?
Tuesday’s Rituxan meant a bunch of downtime and a lot of getting stuff done that had been sitting around awhile.
I finished Narcos, Lizzie Borden, a bunch of movies, a washcloth, a punch needle thing I started a LONG time ago, and Cookie’s basket. (Which ended up being Rosie’s basket).
Happy Sunday y’all!
I sent Texas out to spend time with one of his friends and spent a low key day crafting for Halloween. I was not as lazy as Mongo, but I’ll admit I was a little jealous of his zen.
I’m still a Yankee at heart, so despite the pool closing, this will never be the end of summer. With temperatures in the 80’s and 90’s it is still hot y’all!
On 8/27, I started weaving an 8″ basket because Cookie made me do it. Texas and I also went for a sunset kayak trip with friends that night. They may be my favorite kind of trip. It is cooled down and the idiots are pretty much off the lakes by then.
This past Friday, I went out for a paint night with the ladies from my jiu jitsu team. I love these women. Fun, diverse, honest, and down to earth. There is something about sharing hours on the mats, sweat, and bruises that bonds you in a way that nothing else can.
Tuesday I get my Rituxan. It has been a year since my last infusion and my B cells are at 6%. It cannot get here soon enough because I can’t spend my days sleeping.
What have you been up to?
So, Rosie made me take a basket weaving class.
